I started out with discussing concepts with my friends and family instead of the bigger questions of religion. so they be comfortable with my line of thinking... like my mom and my sister and I being able to hold a conversation without completing our sentences or calling each other at the same time. Saying the same thing all the time. Used to drive my dad nuts.... said we shared a brain! Anyway, some of the smaller topics were easier to discuss. like nature spirits, faeries, crystals, herbs, divination tools. This way I could sus out the ones who could handle it, and those who couldn't. I wished I had gone through lesson 2 here before I tried to tell my two brothers, because I would have approached them differently I think. They did not take it well at all. The people at work however took it very well, and were quite happy to ask me questions so they would know just what Wicca was. I even volunteered to be a book in a human library event on 3 occasions. My title was Living Wiccan in a Modern World. and I tried to share how technology has helped us to connect and how we can still call ourselves a nature religion when we do have technology we can use. And no, not all witches do, but for some it is very helpful.

I think the most important thing is how this path makes you feel inside. I've been with the Mists for just under a year now and my spirituality has flourished with all the information and support of everyone here. The people that are in your life and that care about you will hopefully just see how inspired you are and want only the best for YOU. Don't ever feel alone and don't let anything get in the way of your path, Brother.
