This is something I wrote a few years ago and find that I am in a similar thought process lately. I have been expanding my practice and working on the beauty of the simple life I am trying to build, in rural Washington.

How often do you say, I can't do x,y,z as I am too busy? How often do you think, if I only had a little more time in the day I could eke out a little enjoyment in life, more than sporadically. We are always busy in this modern day with so many things needing our attention. Are you truly that busy that you cannot spend a few precious moments for yourself? What if you could not only meet the demands your life requires of you but also focus on the passions in your life? You may be thinking that this is indeed impossible, but it is not. Whaaaat? Really!

I invite you to start looking at your day. Let's look at your calendar, your daily to-dos. Write down four or five tasks that are most important to you in life. Be objective in your review. With priorities in mind, take a look and answer this question, are you spending your time within the constructs that give you passion and are within your beliefs? With your answer, how many of those items are outside the sphere that you have prioritized as important to you in life? Are those things that do not fall within your priorities necessary for daily living?

Let's choose one day out of your week; this day is the day that has the least available time for you, for me that is Monday. *laugh* The reason we are choosing the day with the most activity is to objectively decide if any of those things can be moved to another day? Can they be removed altogether?

It's vital that you look at your days objectively so that any work that is for the sake of work, on a day that creates bottlenecks or difficulties and is detrimental to your personal well-being. The goal here is to evaluate your life and simplify it where you can.

For example, here are my personal thoughts:

Desire:
-Spend 10 minutes doing something JOYFUL and PHYSICAL such as playing in the garden at lunch or walking up the hill into the forest.
-Create beautiful things and share them as called either through bespoke sales or gifts.
-Create sacred space in every room and live that way.
-Be more present & spiritual.

These things are things that, mostly I cannot live without, yet I do everyday live without in some way by being “busy,” “distracted,” or even someone else is more important than myself.

How can I bring myself to this center..well for the movement and joy at that, I already mentioned. 10 minutes at a minimum, every day (weather permitting). This is for ME and me alone.

Spiritual, begin unboxing things from the move to my home to make a more usable and practical space. It then becomes sacred in the away I live.

I attract friends and success to me by being this present and by being myself fully and authentically. Things fall into place once you unbox and declutter, on both the physical and spiritual levels.

Timing? Synchronous once more.
