Tatiana Aurora O'Gaia reminded me that I never posted an update on Lilie's knee surgery in October. Both the girls had their grooming last week, attached are two pictures of her in the yard after we got home from their pick up.

Surgery update:
In early October, Lilie had reconstructive knee surgery on her left knee. The overall prognosis was good as we caught it fairly quickly before too much damage was done. She came through the surgery like a champ. We spent several weeks utilizing a special harness to help her walk and recover.

Now at the six-month post-surgery mark, I am delighted to say she's about 90-95% of knee usage. She's starting to galomp (her fun puppy-like run) and jump a little but not as much which is perfect since that can make the other knee need surgery much sooner.

Ultimately, she's showing signs of the other knee going down the same path; however, the recovery will be easier the second time and we are about 1-2 years before needing to consider the surgery.
