I have a Scarlet Curl Willow tree that I planted in the fall of 2015. I know it was after my Fiance' decided to go a different direction, and before my current roommates moved in and that was in Spring of 2016. I also know that in November over Thanksgiving, my sister's fish died, (one that used to be mine and was 8 inches long) and I buried it under the willow while it was still starting. my cat wasn't buried there until the fall after my roommates moved in, and the first photo I have of the tree was April 1st of 2017. She has grown tall and mighty since then! We have various pictures of me standing with it.... gradually growing taller than me. but I didn't realize how much taller before this photo today!
