King James, if I am remembering correctly and it's been a fair few years since I've studied it, had that passage modified where it had said poisoner since as I recall and again I could be remembering wrong, it was a horrible crime to poison water supplies in the desert so that is what the passage was originally. ANYWAY, there are whole lines of Jewish mystics and once upon a time, there were Christian mystics as well.

ALL of that said, there is a movement that utilizes witchcraft with Christian mythology as the base pantheon. Christian Wicca and Christian Witchcraft are a thing. It does not work at all for me but for some people it does.
