I thought I'd share this special boy with you all. My Oliver is truly a special soul. I watch him at times amazed by him, because you can see how he sees things that we can't even imagine. He also took on traits of other cats that had passed before he became mine.

I found Oliver in a resturant parking lot, he was under my car and when I beeped to unlock he ran out into the weeds and was talking away to me. So I started talking back. For 15 minutes he and I had a conversation and finally he just walked right up to me and left me pick him up.

Before Oliver I did alot of rescue work, I had many cats most of which were seniors or had medical issues. During the 6 months before finding Oliver I lost 3 of my boys that I had close bonds with, my Merlin was the gentle big guy, who thought he was human and would always talk away, Oliver has that gentle side at times and definately is a talker like Merlin. My Zeus who had a very strong presence about him, he also wasn't always nice, Oliver is always a sweet heart, but he definately takes command of a room, people always notice him when he enters. And last was my Harry, he was an old guy that you could just see light up when he learned something knew, he had an innocence about him and loved when he discovered new ways to play. Oliver too has that innocence and even at 7 is the sweetest thing to watch play. Yesterday he entertained my two clients as he was stocking the puppy, they couldn't get over how gentle though he was with her.

There is often times you will see Oliver just staring off into a corner, the one day that really hit me was my son's birthday, my son was born still many years ago. I have a corner in my room dedicated to my son's memory, that day Oliver just sat for over 30 minutes watching that corner, I know he saw my son, his tail was going and he just looked so happy and excited.

This picture is what dinner time looks like for us every night. Oliver knows that Daddy will offer him a few pieces of meat each night, so he patiently sits on his chair waiting for daddy to feed him. Never getting up on the table just staying right there waiting. Usually the puppy is on the floor beneath him hoping he'll drop his food. LOL

I have had some very stunning cats, pure breed cats that could win cat shows, yet it is my Oliver that people have always commented on, because his soul truly shines. He is my only cat these days, he loves his puppy sister and the two of them make a perfect team.
