This morning we woke up to about four more inches of snow. It's a little sad as it will be gone by Sunday when the temperatures rise and the rain starts for a bit. There is just something absolutely peaceful about the snow.

I remember the year my brother was dismayed that I would prefer to walk in the snow and appreciate its beauty instead of throwing snowballs. I’m guessing that I was 14 at the time. I had a new grownups’ long wool coat and I imagined I was quite the little adult walking around in it. I can hear mom trying to explain it to my brother.
