Unbelievable. One of the residents from the assisted living side at the Atria was discharged from the hospital today and needed memory care, so they gave him Mom's apartment because we hadn't signed the lease yet. Now we are on the waiting list. I'm back to living in hell with no plan for it to end. Limbo. It's worse than hell. Idk what the Universe is trying to teach me, but I don't like it. Wah! 😿

Bummer! Understandable on your end. We never know what the universe has for us or what it wants to teach us. Try looking at it differently. Look at the brighter side. Find a brighter side. I was in shelter for 4months going 5 worried me and my two were gonna get kicked out cause I didn’t do the programs(Christian based shelter) and my caseworker was the one I cried on but we made it out into housing. It’s just temporary and I know your strong. We are all here for you!

I really hope that speaking with her doctor can help you with this situation. When my grandmother was needing to get full-time care and needed to transition first into a nursing facility she would absolutely not hear of it. I'm sure it was terrifying but she dug her heels in. I spoke with her doctor and explained the situation and while he wasn't "prescribing" her to go to a nursing facility he sat with her and really nudged her in that direction. She always did what her doctor told her so getting that from him was everything to me and made it go smoothly and she accepted what simply had to happen for her own safety and well-being as a dementia patient.
