I love love love bats so much! We had them in the country when lived in Appomattox. I miss them!

I absolutely love bats, and snakes and spiders and all those misunderstood "scary" things.

We have tarantulas here that are so exquisitely beautiful. They are very polite, too. My biggest concern is their safety when their walkabouts take them into the hen yard. I've lost count all of the rescues we've accomplished. We have quite a few snakes around. After a timber rattler bit my German Shepherd, I have a few issues with them. I asked them to please not come into my yard. This one did. Bit Willa on the lip, then slipped back through a hole rabbits dug under the SNAKE WIRE!! I gave her honey. Then homeopathics (echinacea and rattle snake antidote) then took her on up to the vet. She's fine. Just drools more. We also have gopher and bull snakes, as well as the lovely and elusive Coach Whip. My very favorite snake. And, we have a few bats during monsoon season. I can watch them for hours. Sorry, I get quite verbal talking about our "scary" friends.
