Every day, I walk a little at lunch. The walk serves two purposes for me 1) I get some exercise and 2) I spend time in nature and take time to recenter myself. The place I walk is my own little private forest area. My husband (our dogs and cats) and I have 3.35 acres on the Olympic Peninsula of Washington State. One acre holds our home and backyard where the front half-acre or so is the driveway with a lot more wooded land and forest space. There are a LOT of trees, fern, salal, and berry brambles. The back portion outside the fenced yard, for the dogs, is all forest. Here are a few pictures from today's walk, up in the forest.
