Went on an herb walk today. Looking for plants in the Parsley Family. Of course we ended up finding all kinds of other friends along our way. My husband and kids are a little concerned that while I'm happy to have found so much Queen Anne's Lace, I'm a little disappointed that I didn't find any poison hemlock. I do however find it awesome that my scientific daughter has decided to call them the Hagrid of plants. She would have stayed away from something that had hair stems and a dark blossom in the middle. Just like Hagrid is "mad and hairy" but the best friend a witch or wizard could want.
