Has anyone worked with Baba Yaga? If so,
what was your experience? What do you know about her?

I have never worked with her, but I'm interested in her because I am drawn to Crones...but I have a hard time figuring out if she is truly a goddess or just a folkloric character. It all depends on what you read...but I guess trying to work with her and seeing what results would be a way to figure it out, I just haven't done so yet.

MM, I started working with Baba Yaga a couple years ago. When I go through serious bouts of depression I feel I travel to Her hut. I go willing now otherwise She is not the Grandmotherly type who will bake you cookies and tell you everything will be all right. We go to Baba Yaga with respect so we may meet our negative part of ourselves and get rid of those "old bones" we cling to. Baba Yaga is unpredictable and volatile. She is best approached with truth, honesty, and of your free will. Now She might be different for you because I am pretty thickheaded sometimes and I need a "whack" once in a while. Hoped this helped.
