I was going to be a missionary/evangelist because I thought that was what everyone expected me to do. Until I lost complete faith in the Bible being the most high word of God. But turns out the witchy life was much more Me!

My sister was a Nun for 8 years. She made final vows. She eventually came out to marry a priest who also left, but then he left her. She is 13 years old than I am, so by the time I was 5 she went into the convent. When my parents needed a babysitter for a weekend, I would have to stay with her at the covent. By the time I was 12, the Nuns kept trying to recruit me. No way! That was during the '70s. Even then I was much more of a free spirit, wild child. I never felt connected to the Catholic religion. When I was a Senior in HS, I found a little witchy bookstore on the way home from school. I would stop in 3x a week after that. The store wasn't doing well, so the owner had a lot of time on her hands. She sat down with me and explained everything to me. I would spend hours there. It all made perfect sense to me. I felt like I was home.

I’ve been “gifted” my entire life. Seeing things and hearing things, my friends making jokes about being psychic. Freaking out my grandmother enough to get the Catholic Church involved. (LOL) A year ago I embarked on a self discipline journey to remove alcohol from my life and to heal myself of my childhood trauma. And it’s like... my “gifts” got stronger almost immediately. I feel ready to know more. I am so grateful for all the hard work I’ve put in this last year. And really looking forward to participating here!
