This past week we went to a Humblecha Ceremony. Which is a Lakota Sioux Tradition of going on a blanket to “cry for a vision”. The process can be 24 hour of self isolation up to 4 nights. I was in my first year and I did the 24 hours where my partner was in her last and completion year and was out for 4 nights. During this ceremony you are started in a Inipi or sweat lodge where you are then taking out to your blanket that is surrounded with by 405 prayer ties, 7 robes for each color and directions and your waluta. You are then left for you committed time frame without food or water to be just you and spirit. It was an eye opening experience with much prayers/ intentions places and where answers from tonkoshila/ ancestors were shown and healing begins to work. I am so excited to walk this year to see how the energy and intentions placed work out.
