As i learn more about myself and my abilities (I am certain I am an empath) I am looking certain experiences differently now than I used to. As little as even 5 years ago, I refused to go thrifting, to a flea market, or even a garage sale. My mother loves these things and still today always buys stuff. It used to make me dizzy and nauseous to be there between the people and the items, the smells and sounds, I could not do it. I went to something near my home last year called Gold Rush.. an antique market. I was pulled to this event, I am unsure why. The familiar dizziness started, and the smells, the the problems with people didn’t. Human people seemed to fade away- they became irrelevant. They became background as I danced through the tents of the past, with my mind taking back to the times when the items under the tents would have been brand new. A phonograph, a very old rocking chair, and yes...that ...whatever cabinet lookin thing that is. Long story short, that cabinet thing stopped me in my tracks. I stared at it and it at me. I think this is what I came for. I didn’t even know I was going there that day. I bought that cabinet thing. I now use it to store my spiritual items. It also has a door on one side that folds down to make a little table so you can do spell work and a place for an altar, too. This coming weekend is Gold Rush and i can already feel the pull..something is calling to me and i don't know what it is. Should one be worried when it comes to thrifted items, antiques or the like? It's not often you are able to learn the actual history of an item.
