The tilt of the earth in summer vs winter makes the sunrise and moonrise (and set too) fall in different places. there is a certain time of year when the full moon can shine in on my bed and a time when I can't even see it rise outside my bedroom window. in other words, due to the tilt our perspective on the moon shifts. did you know that in the southern hemisphere the moon appears upside down? It is the perspective of where you are in relation to the planet and where the orbit is. I was astounded when that realization hit me!
